Cerro Catedral Ski Resort in Argentina

Located in the Nahuel Huapi National Park, in the province of Rio Negro (Black River), it features a wonderful view of Catedral Village. It is 19km away from Bariloche, the most important spot for tourism in the Patagonia of Argentina.

It is one of the oldest ski centers in South America and the most complete as well, adding infrastructure and improving the quality of the services offered with every season. The center includes gastronomic inns all over the mountain, pub, restaurants, candy store, cyber coffee, casino, shopping mall, first aid center, ski and snowboard equipment rental stores, ski and snowboard school.

There are over 600 hectares of skiable surface, where you can find 53 tracks properly signalized according to different difficulties to encounter, fit for beginner and expert skiers. There are also 39 lifts that take tourists from one part of the center to the other, where they can practice ski, snowboard, Nordic ski, Alpine ski, snow cat and four trax, amongst others.

Apart from ski and snowboard, in Cerro Catedral you can practice other adventure activities such as trekking, paragliding, mountain climbing, sledge rides and mountain bike.

Being the biggest center in the country, it is also where snow related events take place. In June, for example, you can be part of the Season Start-Up Party, with special activities that invite everybody to join in and enjoy the snow and adventure sports.

In August, there are more activities at the center such as Ski and Snowboard Championships, and the Ski-Tenis High Cup Patagonia, while at the end of the month you can assist to the Party of Snow. In September there are official competitions organized by the Argentina Ski and Andinism Federation.
