Tierra del Fuego is one of the most espectacular places to visit in the world, in the Argentinean side as well as the Chilean one. Millenary lands where aborigins used to travel to, to protect themselves from the weather conditions in the summer, hunting to survive and leaving their mark in caves and rocks they found along the way.
Discovered over five thousand years ago, Tierra del Fuego was names by European explorers, who traveled to the area trying to find a passing way from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic. The first thing they saw in mainland was the fire the aborigins had made, so they named the area after that.
Ushuaia is the main city, and in Tierra del Fuego you can practice all sorts of adventure activities, such as trekking, hiking, water sports and observation of native flora and fauna.

Ushuaia: capital of the province and operations center for tourism. Its touristic infrastructure is modern and of good quality, with something fit for every budget. It is the most southern city in the world and, proud of that, receives thousands of visitors every year.
Antarctica. It is possible to visit the sixth continent in the summer, with a magnificent white landscape and a privileged view that only a few people in the world are lucky enough to see, the most southern place on Earth, where only scientists and a military colony stays there all year.
Castor Hill: you can find a ski center of the same name. It is the newest center in Argentina and, as such, one of the most modern ones. There are special tracks for ski and snowboard.

- How to get there
- To travel to Tierra del Fuego and Ushuaia, by land, you have to cross to Chilean territory through the Magellian’s Strip. There are two options to do so. The first one is on ferry through Primera Angostura, trip that lasts thirty minutes. The second option is by ferry through Porvenir (Punta Arenas, Chile), trip that takes two and a half hours. Once in Argentinean territory, you continue the trip to Ushuaia through RN13.
