Seven streams of water
Founded where the water of seven rivers creates strong water streams, as well as seven peninsulas in the geography, Corrientes is located in northeast Argentina. Its privileged topography turns it into a place where people can do many activities, especially those related to nature.
The city of Corrientes features beautiful buildings that were constructed in colonial times, with European influence and elegant architechture. There, night lif is agitated for tourists, who can enjoy different cultural, religious and ecological circuits during their stay.
Being surrounded by rivers, taking a walk through Corrientes is quickly turned into a unique activity, where you can enjoy the fabulous nocturnal view of the area, thanks to a pleasant climate, or a daytime stroll, when you can appreciate historical monuments placed all over the city.
Near the city you can find the Esteros del Ibera Natural Reserve, the big great green lung for the province, where native flora and fauna species survive with the help of the people who work there, taking care of a fragile ecosystem that features several species in extinction danger.
In Corrientes, you can also participate in several traditional celebrations and, even, a carnival. It is one of the most traditional places in Argentina, where pagan celebrations and religious festivities attract many tourists and people of the faith.

Corrientes, with its beautiful streets and historical monuments. Surrounded by rivers and vegetation, the city attracts people due to its tranquility, as well as its clean beaches and surroundings.
Near Corrientes you can visit Goya, a town located next to the Parana River. There, you can see the famous Capila del Diablo (Chapel of the Devil), carved with a knife. Others nearby towns are Santa Lucía, Bella Vista, San Cosme and Empedrado.
Religious tourism is very important in this area, and includes visits to churches and basilics all over the province. To visit: Basílica Nuestra Señora de Itatí, Via Crucis, Iglesia San Juan Bautista, Ruta de los Jesuita, San Martín de Tours, Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes, and many others.
As any other important place, Corrientes has a space for culture, with many museums in its downtown area as well as its surroundings. Between archeological and historical museums, you can also visit theaters, monuments, squares and natural reserves, where information is given about protected species and those which are under the red flag of extinction danger.

By land, through RN11 and General Belgrano Bridge. You can also take the route, which goes through Entre Ríos.
