Chubut is another province in the Patagonia of Argentina, where nature offers wonderful landscapes for everybody to see and marvel. Tourists can find mountains, lakes, rivers, forests, national parks, lagoons, viewpoints and, above all, animal and vegetal life.
Its climate allows the city and its surroundings to be open all year, moving onto adventure activities in the summer. It is possible to be a witness of one of the most amazing, unique and unforgettable shows in the whole word: if you’re lucky, you might see whales mating by the coast of the Atlantic.
- Attractions
Rawson: the capital of Chubut, it can be the beginning point of all your excursions and activities in the area. It is a small and simple town, with all necessary implements for tourists when it comes to find a place to stay and eat delicious meals at a good price.
Esquel: you can find important ski centers with 25 tracks to practice the white sport. In December, you can participate in the National Festivity in honor of the Trout.
Península Valdés: where the whales play. You can get to it from Punta Piramide, to enjoy whe wonderful natural show of Austral Whales. The cetaceus comes to the quiet waters of the Atlantic to mate, every year in more number thanks to the great climatic conditions of the area, which improves the possibility of these giants to keep on living.
Los Alerces National Park: it features thousands of species of native flora and fauna. There are also many bodies of water, which reflect the blue sky and the white clouds like a mirror.
Puelo National Park: 27 thousand hectares to visit. It is the newest park in Argentina, and the one with lowest altitudes above sea level. It is ideal for those who enjoy adventure activities, because it features a trekking circuit and a lake, river and creek system, perfect for water sports.
Other places to visit are the Camarones Bay, Punta Tombos Natural Reserve, Puerto Deseado, Punta Pirámide and Puerto Madryn.
