Land of audacity and impetousness

Right by the Andes Mountain Range you can find Neuquen, part of the Argentinean Patagonia, which name means “audacious, impetous, haughty.” With over two hundred thousand inhabitants, Neuquen is the most important city in the Patagonia of Argentina.

Surrounded by forests, valleys, mountains and water, the territories that are part of the Patagonia feature extraordinary beauty and Neuquen is not left behind. There are parks and natural reserves, where you can go and see flora and fauna, as well as practice adventure activities.

The city and its surroundings feature the necessary infrastructure to receive thousands of tourists who travel to Patagonia every year, especially in the summer, to walk down its beautiful streets and amongst its colorful landscapes.

Attractions

Neuquén. Capital of the province of the same name, it has a varied hotel and gastronomic offer all year, ideal to relax looking at the snowy mountains. Those who want some action during their vacation can travel to Patagonia too, where they can practice numerous activities related to mountains, water and snow.

San Martín de los Andes, nearby Neuquen, it has been able to combine modern aspects of all and keeping typical traditions as well. The houses feature a rustic look, which can also be seen in the cabins and hotels in the area. It is surrounded by virgin territori, which is one of the main attractions of the province.

Parque Nacional Lanín, by the volcano of the same name, it includes 24 lakes in its territory as well as a fragile ecosystem where you can see infinite species of flora and fauna. It also offers mountains of over a thousand meters of altitude, always snowy and prepared for the most audicious tourists.

Thermal waters of Epulafquén and Copahue Thermal waters, as well as the Ski Centers located in Bayo Hill and Chapelco Mountain. They both attract many tourists every year, people who visit the thermal waters in the hopes of relieving tension in the medicinal baths, although many just stay at the hotel there and spend time practicing other activities in the mountain.

By land, from Buenos Aires, through the combination RN 5, RN 35, RN 152, RN 143, RP 20 (La Pampa), RN 151, RN 22, RN 237, RN 40, RN 22 and RP 21 (Neuquén).

By air, daily flights from Buenos Aires and from all major cities in Argentina land in Neuquen.
