Services and Information

strong>The most important tourism center in Argentina

It is, without a doubt, the most important tourism center in Argentina. Object of many photographies and the most beautiful postcards of the country, San Carlos de Bariloche lives for tourism, the most important activity in the area. For that, it has developed hotel and gastronomic infrastructure of the best quality, for every budget and for every taste.

Bariloche is known for its particular architechture, beautiful houses constructed with rocks, wood and native materials of the area. It is also reknown, of course, for its beautiful landscapes that include lakes, rivers, snowy mountains and forests.

Downtown Bariloche works as any other city in the country, with public buildings, museums and squares, as well as shopping malls, craft markets, candy stores, restaurants and bars.

Attractions

San Carlos de Bariloche: beautiful and unique city, which keeps hotel and gastronomic infrastructure of the best quality to receive thousands of tourists who visit every year, all year. Its civic center features important historical buildings.

Nahuel Huapí National Park: with over 710 thousand hectares that shelter thousands of flora and fauna species, some in danger of disappearing forever. In the park you can practice adventure activities and visit its corners in guided excursions.

Snow Party: takes place every year, with typical music and sport competitions. The Queen of Snow is selected and there is a fireworks show to start the season with energy. There are other parties that take place throughout the year, such as the Curanto Party and the Rosa Mosqueta Party, amongst others.

The surroundings of Bariloche are just as beautiful, they deliver a wonderful view of mountains, lakes, rivers, forests and hills. One of the most enigmatic places is the Ventisquero Negro (Black Snowdrift), one of the ten glaciers you can find in the area.

There are also over ten circuits for hiking, which take the visitor near forestes and hills. Some circuits last a day or half-day, while others include visits to camping areas to continue on a two-day trip.
