- Services and Information
In the frontier
Right by the Bolivian border you can find La Quiaca, a small town 3400 meters above sea level. Its name comes from the Quisca tongue, used by the Aymara people, who used the word ?quiaca? for the rock they used to shave cattle.

In the neighbor towns you can see Santa Victoria, known as an outside-museum. Its streets are elevated and its streets are made with small stones, constructing a unique sight in the area. Another place of importance is Casabindo, with 16th century buildings and a beautiful cathedral where every 15th of August you can be part of the celebration known as Toreo de la Vilcha.

It?s the most importane exchange party in the area, and the only celebration of its kind still existing in the country.
