Day 1: Raices Argentinas / Yacutinga Lodge
Departure at 2pm from Raices Argentinas at Puerto Iguazú through Urugua-I Provincoal Park up to the northeast end of the country, where we change cars to go for another 7.5 miles of extremely picturesque rural roads until we reach the South entrance of Vida Silvestre Yacutinga Private Shelter.
Arrival to the Lodge, welcome, room assignment. Explanation of programmed activities. Dinner. Excursion by night: La Selva de Noche (the Rainforest by Night). Accommodation.
Day 2: Yacutinga Lodge
Early in the morning we go sailing through the Riacho San Francisco (small river), which flows into the Natural Preserve, making it a wonderful setting for a photo-safari and wildlife spotting. This sailing excursion lasts almost 3 hours, going through the Bosque en Galería in silence. We return to the Lodge at midmorning. Lunch.
Free time to enjoy the Lodge?s facilities (swimming pool, observation towers, hanging bridge, Visitor?s Center, etc.).
In the afternoon there are Interpretation Walks led by specialized guides who provide excellent information on the different natural settings, their vegetation and wildlife. Return to the Lodge. Dinner. Accommodation.
Day 3: Yacutinga Lodge / Raices Argentinas
Breakfast and free time to explore the Lodge?s surroundings, or simply to relax.
At midmorning, return to Puerto Iguazú (meeting point: Raices Argentinas). Arrival at 1pm.
Activities:
Yacutinga Lodge?s tourist guidelines are aimed at creating a close relationship between you, the surrounding Nature and us. This means that everyone who visits us and stay at Yacutinga Lodge takes part in different environment-related activities, such as walks focused on environment education, planting local tree species, wildlife observation and classification, and the interpretation of Nature?s processes so as to better understand and discover this Rainforest.
Our objective is to provide you with the most complete information on Misiones? Rainforest, our traditions and customs. Additionally, we are very interested in having you understand how and why we protect this natural sanctuary, which is perhaps one of the last remnants in the richest and most varied eco-region in Argentina.
Basically, you will receive information on the Rainforest?s dynamics during our excursions and Interpretation Walks.
Our specialized guides will take you though different environmental interpretation paths.
